At\u0131\u015ft\u0131rmal\u0131k sekt\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcn \u00f6nde gelen markalar\u0131ndan \u015e\u00f6len , kad\u0131nlar\u0131n i\u015f hayat\u0131ndaki rol\u00fcn\u00fc g\u00fc\u00e7lendirme hedefiyle \u00f6nemli bir ad\u0131m att\u0131. \u015eirket, Birle\u015fmi\u015f Milletler Kad\u0131n\u0131n G\u00fc\u00e7lenmesi Prensipleri  (Women’s Empowerment Principles – WEPs) imzac\u0131s\u0131 olarak toplumsal cinsiyet e\u015fitli\u011fi konusundaki kararl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 k\u00fcresel \u00f6l\u00e7ekte tescilledi.   


\u015e\u00f6len CEO’su Erdo\u011fan \u00c7oban , WEPs imzas\u0131n\u0131n \u015firketin uzun vadeli s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik stratejisinin do\u011fal bir ad\u0131m\u0131 oldu\u011funu belirterek “Kad\u0131nlar\u0131n i\u015f ya\u015fam\u0131na kat\u0131l\u0131m\u0131 yaln\u0131zca bir e\u015fitlik meselesi de\u011fil; s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilir kalk\u0131nman\u0131n, g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc ekonomilerin ve refah toplumlar\u0131n\u0131n temel ko\u015fuludur. \u015e\u00f6len olarak, kad\u0131nlar\u0131n i\u015f g\u00fcc\u00fcne kat\u0131l\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 art\u0131rmak, adil \u00fccret ve yan haklara eri\u015fimlerini g\u00fcvence alt\u0131na almak, ki\u015fisel geli\u015fim ve kariyer f\u0131rsatlar\u0131n\u0131 g\u00fc\u00e7lendirmek her zaman \u00f6nceli\u011fimiz oldu. S\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilirlik hedeflerimiz do\u011frultusunda, farkl\u0131l\u0131klardan beslenen, ortak akl\u0131 te\u015fvik eden, \u00e7ok sesli ve \u015feffaf bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fc destekliyoruz” \u015feklinde konu\u015ftu. 2030 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar kad\u0131n \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan oran\u0131n\u0131 beyaz yakada y\u00fczde 45’e \u00e7\u0131karmay\u0131, toplam kad\u0131n \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan say\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 ise y\u00fczde 10 art\u0131rmay\u0131 hedeflediklerini payla\u015fan \u00c7oban, “WEPs Destek Beyan\u0131m\u0131zla bu kararl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 global \u00f6l\u00e7ekte kay\u0131t alt\u0131na al\u0131yor; i\u015f yerinde ve toplumda cinsiyet e\u015fitsizli\u011fini sona erdirmek i\u00e7in Birle\u015fmi\u015f Milletler ile dayan\u0131\u015fma i\u00e7inde oldu\u011fumuzu beyan ediyoruz. Bu imza toplumsal e\u015fitlik taahh\u00fcd\u00fcm\u00fcz\u00fcn k\u00fcresel ifadesidir” dedi.  

 "D\u00fcnyada en \u00e7ok imzac\u0131 \u015firketin bulundu\u011fu ikinci \u00fclke T\u00fcrkiye"  UN Women T\u00fcrkiye \u00dclke Direkt\u00f6r\u00fc Maryse Guimond  ise yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 de\u011ferlendirmede, \u015e\u00f6len’in Birle\u015fmi\u015f Milletler Kad\u0131n\u0131n G\u00fc\u00e7lenmesi Prensipleri’ne (WEPs) kat\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131n, i\u015f d\u00fcnyas\u0131nda toplumsal cinsiyet e\u015fitli\u011fini ilerletme konusundaki kararl\u0131 liderli\u011finin \u00f6nemli bir g\u00f6stergesi oldu\u011funu ileri s\u00fcrd\u00fc. D\u00fcnyan\u0131n d\u00f6rt bir yan\u0131nda \u00f6zel sekt\u00f6rde d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm yaratan WEPs’i, k\u00fcresel d\u00fczeyde 11.706 \u015firket imzalarken, d\u00fcnyada en \u00e7ok imzac\u0131 \u015firketin bulundu\u011fu ikinci \u00fclke olan T\u00fcrkiye’de 653 \u015firketin, i\u015fyerinde, piyasalarda ve toplumda kad\u0131n\u0131n g\u00fc\u00e7lenmesini hedefleyen 7 prensibi destekledi\u011fine dair taahh\u00fctte bulundu\u011funu a\u00e7\u0131klad\u0131.  Guimond s\u00f6zlerini “\u015e\u00f6len’in kad\u0131n \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan oran\u0131n\u0131 art\u0131rma, f\u0131rsat e\u015fitli\u011fini g\u00fc\u00e7lendirme ve kapsay\u0131c\u0131 bir i\u015f yeri k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fc in\u015fa etme y\u00f6n\u00fcndeki taahh\u00fctlerinin, \u00f6zel sekt\u00f6rde d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm\u00fc h\u0131zland\u0131racak g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc bir ad\u0131m oldu\u011funa inan\u0131yoruz” diyerek tamamlad\u0131.
